Terrible makeup n hair. And then made me wait 30 mins to give me my refund. They treated me horrible, I'm livid.
I had a wedding yesterday as Bridesmaid for my best friend of over 8 years. The salon the bride picked for us for hair and make-up was too exepensive. At Arja's In Long Branch they wanted $150 for hair and make-up. I wasn't paying that. I also needed someone was has experiance working with my kind of hair.The day before the wedding I looked up hair salons and called the Ulta Beauty in West Long Branch. The first girl who picked up the phone was super sweet, professional, kind, and helpful. I told her my situation and I asked if they would be able to work with my hair kind, being that I'm mixed. She told someone should and transferred me to Carmil, who is one of the stylist in the Ulta Beauty. I mentioned how nerious I was but how I needed to find a place that had a better price. I booked my oppointment for 9AM the following morning, which was the day of the wedding and hoped everything would turn out okay. I had origionally selected and up-du class side braid with a bun, but once Carmil did the blow-out we actually decided to let it hand down which I never do. Carmil was so awesome! I really enjoyed my experiance here. The ladies working in this salon are so super sweet, kind, out-going, and ecouraging and helpful. Origionally for the up-do which was considered a classic style it was going to be $60 but since we decided to let it hang down, it was only 44 with the trim ad well! Carmil was very imforative about cutting my ends, and did a fabulous job with that. After my ends were done, my hair felt so revived! Not only did my hair feel great, it looked fantantic! Other lady mentioned lashes so I got those done as well. The lady the register was so imformative, kind and helpful too and about rewards programs but I wasn't interested in a credit card at the time. I just paid and went over to make-up. Carmil met me over by the Make-up and we played around with shades and eye shadows! It was fun. Even though I'm not a girly-girl, these ladies made me feel like I was the one getting married and it was so special! They even let me use the Waxing room to get ready. When l stepped out in my dress, Carmil's mouth dropped open. Lol. All the ladies in the salon and floor associates complemented me on my Herizon Blue bridesmaid dress! I would recamament this place in a heart beat because these workers bent over backworks to make me feel the most beautiful that I've ever felt and they were successul!! The wedding was lit! Everyone complentmented me on my hair and make-up! I can't thank Carmil and everyone else in this location enough for their hospitality!
56 minutes wait. I complained and was told my first appointment was probably cancelled because I registered twice. I left and went somewhere else.
while I can give the hair salon 5 stars I CANNOT give that to the sales person/cashier. I had a question about a product on saw in their flyer which they did not have at the cashier counter, then I had a glitch with the ULTA credit card asked why, could not tell nor with any of these was she willing to go out of the way, even though there was not a sole around and the chatting with another employee finished when that person left not because I was the only one there waiting to be checked out. No great stars this time.
Went to the salon on Sunday to have Ria (who is Great) cut my hair. I signed in and must have done it wrong, so I signed in again. The board said that I had approximately 30 minute wait. I left and came back in 25 minutes and the board said I had another 25 minutes to wait. I left and came back in 20 minutes and was told that I had another
I have got to give this Ulta a 5 star rating! I was preparing for a music video shoot and a showcase performance later that day and I expressed to them that I needed everything on point and to last all day. I had my makeup sone with Karen. She is AMAZING! I showed her a picture of the gold smokey eye I wanted and she NAILED it! She left me looking fierce! Next I went to Jennifer to get my hair done! She just GETS IT! She understood exactly what I wanted and knew what needed to be done and she executed my blowout with curls perfectly! I looked like a superstar when I walked out of there and my hair and makeup stayed beautifully all day long! I would highly recommend this Ulta!! Ask for Karen for makeup and Jennifer for hair!!
